Baltimore-based guitarist, composer, and arranger Ahmed Warshanna leads the genre-defying sextet Ishta!, bringing fiery interplay and vivid, impressionistic soundscapes to every performance.

Ahmed’s artistic vision is that of an impressionist painter—his compositions create vivid sonic scenes that conjure images of places, colors, and moments in the listener’s mind. Deeply rooted in jazz traditions while constantly pushing boundaries, his music invites you to listen, imagine, and feel.
